FAQ

General FAQ

  • Early Access is way for you to purchase and use the program before it is complete. This approach enables users to participate in the final development stages by providing feedback, reporting bugs, and suggesting improvements. In return, users get a chance to explore new features ahead of the final release.

This means if you purchase BeyondATC, you are getting a program still under development. This program will include bugs and strange behavior. Please make sure you understand this before making your purchase decision.

  • Yes, our voices use cloud-based technology and require an active connection to work.

  • You don’t need a Navigraph subscription to use BeyondATC. The software pulls information directly from your simulator, including airport data, approaches, waypoints, and more, using the scenery and AIRAC cycle already available in your sim. However, if you generate a flight plan in Simbrief using a different AIRAC cycle than what’s in your simulator, you may encounter specific discrepancies.

If desired, you can opt for a one-month Navigraph subscription to update both your simulator and Simbrief with the latest AIRAC cycle, ensuring everything is synchronized to the same source.

  • At this time, SimBrief is required for BeyondATC to access your flight plan and all relevant flight information. Other flight planners, including the built-in MSFS flight planner, are not currently supported.

  • We're aiming to make BeyondATC accessible to seasoned pilots and newcomers alike. If you need help, our great community is available to help you! Join our Discord and ask all your questions.

  • BeyondATC is available for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. There are no plans for supporting other simulators at this time.

  • Yes. We use the latest in AI technologies to process your voice, decide what the ATC should do, and generate highly realistic responses with AI voices. We are currently implementing a LLM to bring more flexibility when you use the program.

  • We do not offer a trial period at this stage. You can search for BeyondATC videos and review to make your decision.

Pricing FAQ

  • Yes. You do not need to purchase anything beyond the initial base purchase to use BeyondATC.

  • Nope! After you buy the initial base package there are no automatic costs. Take a break from flight sim for a few months? No problem. The program will continue to work when you get back with no additional costs. We have no plans to change BeyondATC to a subscription service.

  • Yes! BeyondATC comes with a large amount of Premium Characters included in the base purchase (about an hour of speaking time), and that is yours to use from the moment you purchase the product. However, you are not required to use this voice model at all. The product works entirely from start to finish with the Basic Voice Model, and requires no additional purchases of any kind.

  • Our testing estimates that you will go through 250,000 characters every 15-20 flights.
If you choose to use the Premium Voice Model for traffic we estimate between 2-5 flights.

If you use the Basic Voice Model, you never need to top up!

  • Yes! Our goal is to empower you to use BeyondATC the way you want! By default all traffic will use the Basic voice model, which incurs no cost. However, if you would like to enjoy traffic callouts using the Premium Voice Model you are free to mix and match as you wish.

  • Our premium voices leverage the latest AI technology to deliver highly realistic speech, capturing the subtle nuances of accents from around the world. Currently, offering these custom-made voices requires a per-character usage fee.

To ensure you get the best value, we do not profit from premium character purchases. You pay the exact rate we have negotiated with our voice provider, guaranteeing the lowest possible price for the highest-quality voices.

  • The experimental build lets you test features that are still in active development. It provides an early glimpse into upcoming additions before they become stable enough for the early access version of BeyondATC.

Please note that this version is inherently unstable. It’s designed for those who enjoy experimenting and seeing the latest developments firsthand. If you are not comfortable encountering bugs or unexpected behavior, we recommend sticking with the early access version.
